4A – Forming An Opportunity Belief

1.  Beginning Point: I believe that an opportunity exists with starting a dedicated place in Gainesville for scooter oil changes. 2. Describe my belief: I currently own a scooter, and it is very inconvenient to get an oil change. I usually bring it to New Scooters for Less, but you cannot make an appointment, you just drop it off during their service hours. The problem is that sometimes there are a lot of people in front of me and someone has a big repair, so it can take all day just to get an oil change. Other scooter places in Gainesville are just as bad, and if I change the oil myself it will violate my manufacturer warranty. Near my home in Clearwater, there is a place called Take Five, where they only do oil changes and get it done in five minutes or less. For them you stay in your car while they have multiple people change the oil and filters, along with check tire pressure and other fluids in the car. If there was a drive through place for scooters in Gainesville where yo...

Your Entrepreneurship Story

My Entrepreneurship Story My parents are entrepreneurs with their own private ophthalmology practice. When my father was young his father died, and his mother told him and his siblings that they would have to work themselves to get what they want in life, and be responsible for their own futures. My dad worked his way through college getting bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry, and then later a master’s in chemistry. He wasn’t happy being a chemist, so he applied to med school and got in. After finishing med school, his residency and fellowships, he began working for other ophthalmologists in their practices. As he worked, he took notes from how these other ophthalmologists successfully ran their practices. Eventually after working years with other doctors, he felt that he learned enough to open his own practice. He signed a lease in office space inside of a hospital, and quickly began gaining patients. My mom worked as his office manager, and to this day just the two o...
Bug List Matthew Repke My scooter is to slow. - Bought a scooter being told it could go around 45 mph, but in reality it goes only 35. Hidden fees in my rent. - The lease way to long and complicated, and written in a way to trick the renter with hidden fees. The place I get my suit dry cleaned at doesn't deliver- When I get my suit dry cleaned I have to pick it up on my scooter which wrinkles it. When I am home and get my car cleaned, it never cleans my chrome wheels- Chrome gets break dust on them which requires a special cleaner to dissolve and the car wash places I go do not have it. Wireless charges fall off- I use wireless charges to charge my phone because the port is broken and wish it was magnetic to stay on the phone when I use it. It sucks scooting in the rain- When I ride my scooter in the rain I get wet, but cant wear proper rain gear because there is no storage on my scooter. Noisy people outside my apartment- The windows on my apartment face the pool ...
